That is a very cogent article. I always appreciate and value the opinion of a decorated member of the Armed Forces, especially one as high ranking as the author. His notion that national ID cards would help us to better track terrorists or the like within our borders is worthy of discussion IMHO. I'm sure there are those who think that this would just another way for 'big brother' to keep his finger on us, yet, we are already obligated to keep Drivers License and SS information current.
