September Update

Well, it's September. The month that elections were first planned for in Egypt.

Some had claimed it was too soon for opposition parties to get organized - others had said putting off the elections allowed the hard line established groups more time to crank down on others.

So far it does not appear the moderate and non-Muslim parties are doing too well. The Muslim Parties appear to be doing fairly well.

The Military Junta appears to be pretty comfortable.

Oh, well.

For now...

But since part of the problem seemed to be economic opportunity, and there seems to be more than a whiff of global recession (or worse) in the air, I wonder how long things will remain quiet.
