Gen. Petraus Retiring

Just wanted to get some opinions on this and his next assignment as the CIA Director. Please delete if I posted in the wrong AO.

I would've liked to seeing Petraus stay in country longer then he did after McChrystal.

Although, being the new 'head' of the CIA will help, but only if he can truely run the shop, and not just be Obama's boy.

Although I know he stated that he had no political interests, I'd be curious to see him in office.

A GO who will become the DCI 'without' political interests? That's a good one.

Agreed, I did find that a little awkward since in my mind that position is an office of sorts as you have the Presidents ear.....and unmentionables if you think about it.

I wonder if he'll continue to pick his staff based upon how fast they can run.....

I wonder if he will introduce morning PT as part of every CIA employee's daily routine.
