Anyone know this 7th Group "scout sniper special forces Green Beret"?

Saw this new school advertised at the Market Hall Gun show today. Kept seeing "Green Beret" referenced a lot and set off an alarm in my head.

Run by someone named Randy DeHay from 7th Group.

Any QPs know of him?

Thanks for the help.

Talk about loving yourself. Bet he has to squat over a mirror and stare at his own As#$hole just to get off.
Funny how so many of these self proclaimed instructors feel the need to put themselves out there. Instead of just relying on their instructor abilities and reputation to do it for them.

Got out not too long ago

10 years since 9-11. The Q and a few trips down range then he got out.

Should be a few people from 7th know him. May take a week or so, some of the active guys are right busy.

Appreciate the feedback. I'll stay tuned. It is possible that a good instructor needs a little/major tune-up in the marketing department. The dangers of marketing to civilians perhaps.

I like to recommend good schools in my CHL class and there are only 1-2 that I know of in Texas.

Strategic Shooting Dynamics

I just saw your post in reference to a new shooting school in the Dallas, TX area and I thought I should reply. I have known Randy DeHay for several years now and he is in fact a former 7th Grouper who got out of active duty a couple of years ago to work for Thunder Ranch. He very recently started his own shooting school, Strategic Shooting Dynamics.
I totally understand your skepticism when you hear about some former Green Beret but, I assure you, he is on the level. In fact he is a very good instructor and I would recommend him to your people if you are interested in quality marksmanship training.
That is all.

Great guy.

I was Randy's Detachment Commander in 3/7. He is 100% for real and an extremely competent shooter/instructor. He is also very proud to be from Texas.

Don't anyone who is from Texas and is not proud of their state.

When traveling back from Alaska, I stoped in Seattle to see my sister. Ran into a young man arriving from Austin. When I said Texas could fit 5 times in the state of Alaska, he said, "no sir, there ain't nothin bigger than Texas."
