Thailand Question

One of our lawyers is going to Muay Thai camps in Bangkok and Phu Ket this Fall. Anything I should tell her?

Wear plenty of thigh and shin padding.

Don't touch anyone on the head (outside of the ring).

Kyo's suggestion is good. In Muay Thai, the elbows, knees, thighs and shins are all used extensively as weapons to strike with. If the camps are good, she is going to get pretty beat up. Violence of action is an essential part of Muay Thai.
There is at least one good trainer working with females.

If she is used to Thai food in the states, she is probably about to experience something very different. In all liklihood, the rice will be a poorer quality, and most of the food will be about the quality of a cafeteria. Fruit is always excellent.

If she has time, she should get a good meal and massage before starting and after finishing.
