Sir,
Thank you for your Service.
May I ask what the sunrise dish is supposed to be? A breakfast in bed perhaps? In any case, there are a few things that can be done to this presentation, IMVHO, that would make its appeal even greater!

Ya know, Holly...I never really thought about what it was supposed to be. I guess I wanted something that'd stick to my ribs instead of the roof of my mouth, and something I could eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner without selling a spare kidney to make it.
Your suggestions would be welcome! Please...
Re: my service...it was a selfish honor and privilege entirely. If I was young enough, smart enough, strong enough, and could get away with it I'd do it all over again. Unfortunately I couldn't pass the preliminary dental exam, let alone the physical!

Sir,
Was just thinking of the master chef penn who patrol's these hallways, and hoping I could offer a suggestion or two in lieu of his review?!
In any case, my perspective on the creation of food is that it is individual, and either created with love or...not. Most successful Chef's I have known also believe this.

Well I think it looks fabulous, what time is breakfast tomorrow? (I got it...sunrise service...breakfast...yep, looks good)
I will make this because I have all ingredients on hand. Except for the ranch dressing.

Gypsy, if you don't have Ranch try it with Bleu Cheese or a softened Phillie Cream cheese. Should turn out OK. Getting a good rye bread (or other whole grain hearty bread) and ripe red tomato is critical. 'Course, the comment is always correct that good ingredients are key.
Holly, not sure I'm going to say this properly because I'm not a very bright fellow, but the recipe is individual (meaning it is my own) and was created out of a love for food. Would enjoy your comments either here or backchannel.
General note: it's easy to let this get out of control, esp if you choose to add breakfast meat to it. It holds up well with a little Cholula, but if you like Tabasco go easy. Have tried it that way and for me it was just a bit much. I prefer it w/o meat but with a glass of Guiness...adds a lot to it.

Larry,
You rock! Can tell your recipe is made with care, and the glass of Guiness just solidifies that deal!
PM inbound, and for goodness sakes.....Keep Cooking!!!!!!
