Obama failed to realize the "National Anthem" brought everyone to attention and precluded the toast !
We all step in a steamin' pile once in a while.

He understands nothing about traditions
Personally, I like toasts that start with, "To the regiment,....", and end with ".....those like us, DAMN few left."
Followed with empty shot glasses being thrown against the back wall, officers and women being asked to leave, stuff like that.

This trip has given us plenty of Obama gaffs. Maybe he will tell some stupid Polish joke when he goes to Warsaw.

If anyone was humiliated it was the the orchestra leader, he shouldn't have cut into the Prez's toast. His career at Buckingham Palace may be over, or changed to dishwasher.
BBC:
25 May 2011 Last updated at 07:12 ET Help
President Obama has joked that a musical mistake during his toast to the Queen was "like a soundtrack" to his speech.
The US president lightheartedly told Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg that he thought it added a film-like crescendo to his words.
The string orchestra of the Scots Guard mistakenly began playing the British national anthem before the president had finished his address during a banquet at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night.
Mr Obama carried on talking over the start of God Save The Queen and raised his glass to the Queen before the music had finished.
However, the Queen did not appear to be offended and thanked the leader for his "very kind" words.

My reference was to all those seeking to create yet another mountain of a political issue over a mere molehill of a protocol glitch.

What would be the response if this happened to Bush the Younger or the current president were a Republican?

You Obama-worshippers can cover for him all you want, but his expression is the funniest thing I've seen in a week.
Major fuckup.
