Libya 1911: How an Italian pilot began the air war era

Libya 1911: How an Italian pilot began the air war era

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-13294524

Interesting story.

The NPR piece also has an excellent pic of the type of plane Gavotti flew which clearly shows why it was called a Taube (Dove).
