LOL, recruiting services typically charge subscription fees for evaluations of players in the hundreds or low thousands of dollars. No way this was a "recruiting service."
I'm always happy to see someone else get caught for a change.

The University of Oregon paid more than $28,000 to two men with ties to multiple recruits who signed letters of intent with the school, Yahoo! Sports has learned.
According to State of Oregon expenditure records, the university paid $25,000 to Will Lyles of Complete Scouting Services in Houston, and $3,745 to Baron Flenory of New Level Athletics. Lyles is a former athletic trainer who recently was serving as a mentor to highly touted Ducks running back recruit Lache Seastrunk. Meanwhile, Flenory runs the Badger Sports Elite 7-on-7 football camps which have featured several celebrated Ducks signees including running back DeAnthony Thomas, defensive back Cliff Harris, defensive back Dior Mathis and wideout Tacoi Sumler. Flenory had a personal training relationship with recent Ducks signee Anthony Wallace.
If Lyles and Flenory aided in or were involved in any way in the recruitment of student athletes to Oregon, they would be classified as boosters by the NCAA, and any payment to them from the school would be considered a violation of Bylaw 13. Bylaw 13 prohibits boosters from directing a recruit to a school.

The PUNishment will continue until morale improves.

NCAA officials are examining whether a Texas man helped steer high school football prospects to defending Pac-10 champion Oregon, and Ducks officials on Thursday told ESPN.com that the school paid the man $25,000 in the spring of 2010 for recruiting services.

Aloysius,
Are you saying that the report did not mooove you in the least? What if the investigation finds evidence of improper billing? What will Mr. Lyles do then? Will he take flight? Duck and cover? Hoof it back home? Or will he quack from all of the pressure?

Improper Billing is a Cardinal offense. we will see how this will GO, or what BEARS, it could be a Grizzly future for the Pac-10, with the Trojans mauled by sanctions, and now the Ducks too caught with a paw in the till.

Let's send 'em all to BYU.
When star basketball forward Brandon Davies got dismissed from BYU's team, people immediately started flipping through the university's honor code for possible violations. Now reports are out on exactly what Davies did: the sophomore had premarital sex with his girlfriend.

I'm guessing fewer studs in the next recruiting class.
