Cool Still a Class Act.

I know it isn't over yet but I am proud of the conduct of our Olympic Athletes. The womwn's soccer team are particularly inpressive. There has been no gloating or whining even in the face of the boorish Greek audiences. Last night the american sprinters reacted perfectly to the jeers -- a 1, 2, 3 sweep and then no gloating. Even the men's basketball team has shown class in defeat and if they can come back after two losses it will IMO be their best performance yet. I presumed the team consisted of the NBA prima donnas but was wrong. The likes of Iverson, Duncan and others are credits to the sport. The team was well chosen leaving out the likes off Shaque and others. I saw some post game interviews with Iverson and there was no whining or excuse making. World wide basketball has always been good and now that international teams realize that the U.S. is beatable, their attitudes are worth an extra five to ten points per game.

Overall : GREAT JOB ATHLETES.

There have been no embarassing displays as in the past. I hope I haven't spoken too soon. I can see it now, the Olympic Team mooning the Greeks en mass at the closing ceremony.
