Federal/American Eagle 45 Auto recall

Federal has issued a recall notice for certain lots and brands of 45 Auto ammunition.

Lot #s are for Federal and American Eagle

It is believed that they have the wrong powder in them and/or else too much!

Ammunition Recall?

THANK'S for the valuable info on the ammo recall. Many of the ranges I use sell both types of ammunition which they inst you purchase there. I'am not certain that the personnel working there check lot numbers, I will definitly check & use another brand of ammunition. Thank's Again...Tom Kelly

BuffaloBob,

Thanks for the heads up, I checked my .45 ammo and had 250 rounds that I had ordered from Cabelas that were in the recall lot.

I just purchased several boxes of Federal from Wal-Mart. Will have to check the numbers. Thanks for the info.

Thank you!

No wonder why the bushing cracked on my 1911 recently. You're post answered that question. I was lucky. I didn't get hurt and the company I bought the handgun from replaced it for free. I'm glad you posted this thanks.
