You do realize that all those shots of Putin were for PR purposes.

I guess so but this kind of comparison is stupid because each one is trying to project a false image. I don't think Putin goes to hunting every Thursday or Obama decides to get an ice cream cone at a local deli/diner every other day so that the whole place would be barricaded for him to do that.

It doesn't seem breaking news that Obama is a wuss or that Putin is tough, I don't think too many wimps survive or thrived in the KGB, Russian politics, or the country as a whole. The only question with Putin is how evil is he?
If anything it might show how America has changed and what we expect of our leader. A century ago, Teddy Roosevelt was a rugged outdoorsman and combat vet, in contrast you get the feeling the riskiest thing Obama did other than drugs, was wearing unmatched socks....once. He is well served not to project a Dukakis in the tank image. In contrast Sarah Palin regardless of your politics is out presenting more traditional images of masculine activities than the POTUS with mixed results.

I think the crossed leg picture of our CinC on 'The View' is really the most damning. To me, the image our President projects is important, as he is the chief representative of America's image to the world. Obviously the collage is slightly exaggerated (intentionally, for effect). Personally I wouldn't be caught dead on The View. So it's tough for me to be OK with a man who represents me doing so. Sure, I eat ice cream and ride bumper cars and occasionally body surf (although i prefer real surfing). But then again, the only reputation i'm accountable for is mine and that of my family's. Just my thoughts.

His main voting blocs are Africans-Born-in-America, brainwashed college students and liberal women who worry about LiLo and Brangelina and never miss "The View". And- here's the kicker- their men.
The American man has become so pussified, Barry can, just by getting the daisy to vote for him, kill two birds with one stone. So, appearing sissified doesn't hurt him. You think it's bad, now? Just wait until the summer of 2012.
You're liable to see him in a feminine hygiene solution container commercial riding a pony sidesaddle.
