You mean the telegraphed right hand swing?

Seen it many times in formation by a very discrete NCO.

"All you officer types, nothing to see here, go back inside the office, coffee and dounuts for everyone."

"Very well SGT, carry-on."

"On your feet soldier!!!"

"Yes Sgt, (cough, cough)."

Instantly reminded me of my 6th grade teacher (1959- first male teacher in our school). Discipline problems were few (that I can recall as a FOG), and he did not seem to worry about being sued by the parents or being fired.

My 8th grade English teacher tied me into my chair and taped my mouth shut.

Having placed Donnie C. atop a book case, Mr K., 6th grade teacher and WWII Marine, put his fist through the drywall next to Donnie C's head. Message received and noted.

Of course, that was a long time ago and all the 6th graders loved Mr K. and the kid was a smart a**. Maybe today he is a brain surgeon.

I had an english teacher in HS that should have played pro-ball. Mrs. W would throw staplers, books, chalk, staple remover, rulers, or whatever she could get her hands...with such accuracy and speed...I can feel the pain just recalling this.
We all laugh about it now, just like I LMAO at that kid getting his clock cleaned.

My first day in First Grade, Sister Mary Somethingorother (her first day as a teacher, BTW) made me sit facing the corner in front of the other kids. She pinned a note on my back. I don't know what it said. Neither did the other kids. It was First Grade, and NONE OF US COULD READ YET!

It was only the first shot in a long battle with her. The next year Sister Teresa loved me and made me an Angel for the incoming First Graders' First Communion. (Take THAT Sister Mary Whoever. )

Yeah...I hold grudges.

What a coincidence, I had a Group Commander (later a CG) who would do the same thing.

When I was in Junior High School about 37 years ago (did I really just say that?) I saw a social studies teacher pick a kid up and slam him against the wall. The kid was a perfect a*#hole and deserved every bit of it. The teacher was actually a pretty good guy. He was a USAAC bomber pilot in WWII and had all kinds of stories.

I kind of wonder sometimes if that 'old school' discipline was a little more effective than what exists in todays schools.

Interesting how this started as a humor thread and turned into there I was kind of thing. Ok I'll bite, during OSUT one night I didn't want to do a certain part of duty during the night. My buddy lifted me by the collar and told me that I should do my duty....it was enough for me and the night was uneventful.

The stacking swivel technique always works.
