Bomber Kills 31 in Moscow Airport
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE70N2TQ20110124
Russia's ruble-dominated stock market MICEX fell by nearly two percent following the blast, which ripped through the baggage claim area at Moscow's Domodedovo airport at 1332 GMT.
Smoke wafted out of the baggage claim area and people were seen running out of the emergency exits at the airport, local media reported.
Initial casualty figures were contradictory with ITAR-TASS saying about 20 people had been killed. A spokeswoman for prosecutors put the number of casualties at about 20.
Moscow suffered its worst attack in six years in March 2010 when two female suicide bombers from Russia's volatile Dagestan region set off explosives in the metro, killing 40 people.
The Kremlin is struggling to contain an Islamist insurgency in the mainly Muslim North Caucasus, and rebels have repeatedly vowed they will take their battle to the Russian heartland.

Killing Russians for allah, what a surprise.
Just wait until the Russians retaliate.....
The Russians will find out who was behind the bombing and kill everyone with the same last name. I'll be cheering for the Russians.

Would GWOT be going better today if the West had taken this type of approach in some areas of operation several years ago?

The liberals would have none of that...
Interested in seeing how this is going to unfold. I think someone may have just poked at the sleeping Bear.

Seems that with their insurgency largely defeated and isolated, the Islamists of the North Caucuses are concentrating their limited resources on large, high-profile targets in the heart of Russia. These targets are hit less often, but have higher casualty numbers and are granted more media exposure. I think these are rather similar to the recent attacks in Iraq, where the insurgency is no longer able to muster massive assaults on government installations and security forces, instead carrying out a few attacks that will give them the most media attention. Either way, I hope that these kinds of attacks are a sign of the declining power of the insurgencies in both countries.

The west and it's pseudo-intellectual politicians/"leaders" will wait, just like we did in WWII, until it's almost too late and world domination is at stake.
This islamic sub-human species only understands violence and brutality, someone needs to teach them fear.
I hope when the Russians retaliate it's so brutal that it shakes the islamic fascists to their core.

I kinda liked the "Swordfish" idea; anyime they instigate an action, slam them 100 times harder until they understand the cause and effect.

We cannot declare war on a religion when they have taken over half of the world. America cannot do that, especially since we encourage religious freedom.
Remember in "Charlie Wilson's War" when Gust said that Joan needed to stop using a secular vocabulary when describing the war in Afghanistan when it was the USSR and the Mujaheddin.
We just cannot declare war on religion because its people want to move and spread its ideas.
The Swordfish thing does sound good though. A little hard to implement but good idea.

Yeah I should remember Charlie Wilson's War, I took part in it.
You need to read more and post less.

I find your view somewhat naive. Unfortunately it is shared by too many Americans. You assume that our enemies intend to let you continue your current lifestyle when they have successfully spread their religious ideals throughout your backyard. Maybe you intend to reason with the religious zealots when they are in charge. Good luck with that. I am just disappointed that we have decided to pass this problem down to our childeren.
