Body found on Fort Bragg trail

Body found on Fort Bragg trail

http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/8866322/

"................Spokesman Ben Able said the body was found at about 11 a.m. Saturday on the All American Trail, near Plank and King roads on the western edge of Fort Bragg's grounds. Officials declined to say who found the body.

Army officials confirmed Monday that the man was a soldier, but they haven't released his identity and cause of death or said whether the death is considered a homicide....................."

As a side note to the story - this is why you don't report "all present" at the morning formation went they ain't - a voice of experience from both sides of that one. Funny as all hell when you're the one who gets to say "Team Sergeant, I need to see you and Sgt Smith in my office right after this formation." Not so funny for the Team Sergeant.

Looks like it was a Captain from the 82nd, a Battalion S-2, shot in the head.

RIP, Captain. Blue skies.
