That is a political hot potato. Many of the neighbors would have a cow if we started this. They do not want us there for ever even if they are working with us for this short period in history. It would be like having Russia establish a germinate base in Cuba and put combat forces there........

Strategically it would be good for us but not good for China/Russia/Iran India/Pakistan/etc.......

Just my 2 cents....
