Wink Mexican teachers.........

Just read this morning that in Mexico, the school teachers are having to give their Christmas bonus to the drug cartel if they want to live......... Good thing Richard,Dozer and Zonie aren't living there.......... They'd have to give it up,if they wouldn't,they would be shot!.......... Wonder how easily and quickly they'd respond?......

I can't give that which I do not receive!

I haven't gotten a "Christmas Bonus" - other than the "Jelly of the Month Club" membership - since I left the charter HS at Phoenix Job Corps in 2005!

Heck, I even got Veterans' Day gifts there!

Richard, Zonie and Dozer have a unique set of skills learned over the years that would make life a nightmare for people like the cartels. They would not be victims. Plus they have a lot of friends with the same skillset that would be more than willing to help out... Verdad, amigos?

Richard

**Well...somebody would be shot.

I had a student once when I was teaching in 'The Grove' who I kept after school every day for the entire semester to make him do his work and he was upset with me - I told him being mad was OK but 'we' would succeed that year. He told me that I needed to be 'capped' - I told him to take his best shot, it had been tried before and I was the one who was still here.

We moved him to an alternative school program.

I was getting a headache trying to figure out who you were talking about - then I realized you had the English posted below. You'll have to teach me how to get the Spanish characters on a standard keyboard though.

This should help. Just hold down the "alt" key and type in these numbers to get the accents.

á 160 ¿ 168
é 130 ¡ 173
í 161 ª 166
ó 162 º 167
ú 163 Ñ 164
É 144 ñ 165

Here's a link to a graphic I have that you can print out with the codes:

Al - I was going to say "Muchisimas Gracias" but it's not working for me. Either I'm dumber than a box of rocks or my computer doesn't understand alt anything.

I forgot to mention that you need to keep the "alt" key held down while typing in the numbers and then let up after you've typed it and it should work. My Mistake!

PS Id doesn't work if you type it in the reply box of the site. You have to type it in MS Word or another program and paste it here.

EDIT to add: On a desktop with a number pad you may have to use the pad with the number lock on as the numbers above the keyboard may not work. These codes may not work with laptops, notebooks, or hand held computer devices etc., depending on your machine: most laptops have a blue extra key 'Fn', and little blue numbers on the keys 789uiojklm,. - if you have these, you can use ALT + Fn, and then the little blue numbers on these keys to get the same effect.
