Not my kind of music...

I grew up with the Ramones (really, they were only a little older than me), Stray Cats etc... Used to go see The Talking Heads, Soft White Underbelly (old NYers know who I'm talking about) The Newts, the NY Dolls...

53rd & 3rd, Bonzo Goes to Bitburg, Beat on the Brat and We're a Happy Family are much more NY.
Who's house is this anyway?
Sounds like you have a Personality Crisis, so Don't Fear the Reaper.

I just thought this was funny. The locations were very familiar as well as they way he characterized the Russian ladies at Forest Hills. I don't know how this means that I'm having an identity/personality crisis though? Besides, this comedian is speaking of his past, so the NY you knew might not be the same as what he talks about.

The references used were lost on you. I didn't say it wasn't funny, just trying to stretch your point of reference. The songs referenced are from 1974-1985, and, essentially state the same points...

I grew up in that area, back when the Russians and Jamaicans were initially moving in and dispacing the Hasidim, Irish and Italians...

NY 74-85 wow! Dinkins f'd up the city, I would go to the Dairy market on Duane first, then the fish market in Fulton St, where you paid uncle leo to watch your car so he didn't steal your product, then drive up to Houston and the Bowery to catch the last part of the zoo show by 5AM exiting CBGB's; fun times to say the least.
