James Earl Obama?

Full Newsweek Article

Quote:
President Obama has looked to Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson because of their ability to move big legislation through Congress. He has looked to Ronald Reagan because he was a transformative leader. He’s looked to Bill Clinton for help, because nobody plays the game of politics better. Unfortunately, however, as Obama leads his party into the 2010 midterms he seems to be following the model of Jimmy Carter in 1978.

The rats are starting to leave the sinking ship. The rate of abadonment should accelerate through the mid-terms. Let's hope the Republicans don't blow it - as they are wont to do!

... and Alaska! Murkowski is considering running as a 'write-in Republican' candidate. Most of these incumbents are not about ANY philosophy - they are solely interested in maintaining their cushy positions of power.

The Republicans had a chance to DO something - and wasted it. Perhaps forever! A pox upon them all.

Because of the way the candidate was treated in Delaware by the NRSC, they will no longer get a dime from me...
