Functional quantum computers are supposedly getting closer.

This is a bit scary because of Shor's algorithm.
A quantum computer could break RSA encryption.
The obsolescence of public-key encryption could be stifling for internet business.
Might not be too long before UPS is shipping a ridiculous amount of one-time pads on digital media...
