Egg Nog Orange Float

Per qt using 1/2 cream & 1/2 milk
6 eggs to 1 qt
1/2 c. sugar
¼ t. Salt
1 vanilla Bean

1 Pt of Vanilla Ice cream
12 oz of orange soda
12 orange segments

Make’s a eggnog vanilla float
Or you could just make a mundane orange float that will taste like the best cream cycle you ever had.

A spinoff on Crème Anglaise? I thought your ingredients looked familiar. Looks good, I'll have to try that!

The corrected recipe

Egg Nog Orange Float
Ingredients
Makes about 8 servings
16 oz cream
16 oz milk
6 egg yolks
4 oz Sugar
¼ t. Salt
1 vanilla Bean
1 Pt of Vanilla Ice cream
12 oz of orange soda
12 orange segments
cinnamon
Nutmeg

Method:
1. Scald Milk, Cream, Vanilla bean and steep for 5 Minutes
2. Blanchaise the egg yolks and sugar
3. Temper the Cream into the egg yolks.
4. Strain through a tight chinoise.
5. Bring the mixture back to a boil, then remove from the flame and the allow to cool before placing in the refrigerator
6. add cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
To serve:
In a glass pour in the Egg Nog, a scoop of ice cream, add soda, decorate with the orange wedge, mint leaf and insert 2 straw, its more fun when you share.

I still hate you, and my cariologist recommended I have one... I think he needs a new car or boat...

Are you sure you're not a hit man for the Jersey Mob, not a chef?

SF-med, where's the love, right here with this simple adjustment.

Forget the cream and milk.
Replace it with OJ and one raw egg in a blender with a few ice cubes. Mix at high speed.
8 oz of plain yogurt blend in a the lowest speed possible

Add a few drops of vanilla extract
A Pinch of Cinnamon and nutmeg

In a glass pour some of the OJ yogurt vanilla base
Add a scope of Vanilla- for you SF-med just a 1/2 a scoop
add the soda and segments and enjoy.

let me know how it taste/
