VBC
I'm at VBC, Camp Striker to be specific. There are 3 guys in my platoon who are training together. Another guy with different ideas of how to train is always welcome

Training for SFAS.
For the candidates that are training for SFAS, I would like to offer two suggestions. 1st Buy the book "Get Selected for Special Forces." by Major Joe Martin with Master Sergeant Rex Martin, 2nd, There is a DVD video titled 2 weeks in Hell, which showes in graphic detail what to expect at SFAS, The course is now 3 weeks long. DO not arrive at Camp McKall with the idea of getting in shape. Read the book and follow the advice given. The DVD video is avaiable at The JFKSWC&S...Do your best and never quit. tom kelly.

The book mentioned by Tom Kelly is pure gold. I used it back in 07 to get ready for SFAS, did the workout routine listed in it twice, back to back, and while it didn't make SFAS easy by any means, I feel I was much more prepared than many other people.

Just a thought, and MOO, but you won't have training partners at SFAS. You might find it useful to train your mind by getting motivated to get up early to do PT or ruck, and to push yourself during these events all by your lonesome, without anyone there to help you get past the mentally tough spots.
