This whole business is making SF sound like the next B-X bomber. Something the budgeteers can either use as a cash cow or cut to make points. Used to tell my guys not to look too much like a long-necked chicken when the farmer comes around. A $9B program looks like something that could be cut to make the opposing party happy...methinks there's a politician loose in the works.

I doubt that this proposed facility is going to be used by Special Forces much.
