Heros of Telemark...........
I just came across a semi-documentary series called "The Heros of Telemark"........ They claimed it was truly the most dangerous guerilla mission of WW2........ It was amazing the hardship that those men went thru and still accomplished their mission..........

I believe that SF is a 'calling' - not too different from the calling missionaries I know received. I knew instantly that it was for me, and that I would do all I could to achieve it. Most others I know in SF experienced something similar. If, as you say, you HAVE searched and read, and you do not KNOW if this is the path for you --- it is not....

I believe there was a movie made about the Heros of Telemark. Kirk Douglas had the lead role.

The movie was okay...I read a book, perhaps of the same name, some years back when winter warfare was my raison d'etre...the exploits of the SOE team that conducted the mission do make the movie's heroics pale in comparision...the members of the team survived for periods on the contents of reindeer stomachs, slept in the snow, etc., for extended periods...

Your right they did and these guys said it was pure BS...... I remember seeing it myself,but after I saw the real story.............
