Nope - but then again, they don't carry the tiddley-wink scores out here in Texas.

Oregon Football Stars Suspended From Team For Criminal Activity
BY RACHAEL MCDONALD
Eugene, OR March 12, 2010 4:22 p.m.
University of Oregon Ducks Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has been suspended for the 2010 season. That's the word Friday from head coach Chip Kelly. KLCC's Rachael McDonald reports.
Jeremiah Masoli pleaded guilty Friday in Lane County Circuit Court to burglary.
He and former teammate Garrett Embry broke into a fraternity in January and stole a laptop and other property.
As part of a plea agreement, Masoli and Embry will split $5000 in restitution to the property owner within 30 days.
The two will also serve 12-months probation and perform community service.
Lane County District Attorney Alex Gardner says Masoli is not getting special treatment.
Alex Gardner: "There are many conspiracy theorists out there who will think that no matter how these cases are managed that there was some inappropriate influence. The fact is there was none."
Gardner says the same applies to Ducks running back LaMichael James who also appeared in court Friday.
He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor harassment charge connected to an altercation with a former girlfriend.
Coach Kelly says James is also suspended, for a minimum of one game. Both James and Masoli have been mentioned as candidates for the Heisman trophy.

Maybe the leadership shares some of the blame.
Doesn't look like the previous offenders were punished appropriately to discourage other players from committing crimes as well.
At some point, winning is not as important as having integrity, honor, and graduating successful student-athletes.
Or you can just dismiss all standards except for athletic success and have the NBA.

Tennessee just cuts the sleeves off and wears them on the court.
I should probably disclose that I go to UK so I have a bit of a bias against UT...

I read an internet rumor that all the trouble can be traced back to a workshop in Creswell, Oregon. Apparently the players were spending too much time there... something about guns, knives, booze and a rooster.... the story is kind of murky. Probably not true.
Nah, it's definitely not true.

What is this world coming to? A thread titled "Thug-U" and no mention of Florida State or Miami? The times, they are a-changin' ...
