Qaddafi calls for Jihad against the Swiss

George Bush had this guy in check…

World condemns Gaddafi's call for jihad against Switzerland

World powers have reacted with outrage to a call by Colonel Gaddafi of Libya for holy war on the "obscene, infidel" state of Switzerland.
By Richard Spencer, Middle East Correspondent
Published: 3:17PM GMT 26 Feb 2010
Col Gaddafi took a long-running and personal feud with the historically neutral European country to new heights with a speech in which he attacked the ban on new minarets on mosques approved by a Swiss referendum last year.

"Those who destroy God's mosques deserve to be attacked through jihad, and if Switzerland was on our borders, we would fight it," he said. "Jihad against Switzerland, against Zionism, against foreign aggression is not terrorism."

He called for a boycott of Switzerland by the Islamic world. "Any Muslim in any part of the world who works with Switzerland is an apostate, is against Mohammad, God and the Koran," he said.

"The masses of Muslims must go to all airports in the Islamic world and prevent any Swiss plane landing, to all harbours and prevent any Swiss ships docking, inspect all shops and markets to stop any Swiss goods being sold."

Col Gaddafi's typically eccentric row with Switzerland, which began when one of his sons was arrested along with his wife because of allegations of abuse by two members of his domestic staff, has come as a blow to western powers....

Wonder how many churches there are in Libya, and how he feels about new ones, with steeples and crosses atop, blaring hymns five times per day, being established in his country.

Maybe he would be interested in a quid pro quo, one for one swap?

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Unlike some of their neighbors I'm glad that the Swiss had the strength of character and the sense of nantional identity to draw the line. They may have been neutral during two world wars but they are no shrinking violets. They along with Austria are two of the most discriminating societies in Europe.

maybe Quadaffi's son needs to be kissed goodbye as Reagan did to one of Quadaffis son when he was killed by a Navy bomb. Unfortunately a Navy Pilot was captured but eventually released by Libya STOP YOUR GRINNING AND DROP YOUR LINEN

Robert:

I believe that you may be mistaken.

In the El Dorado Canyon operation, Gaddafi lost an adopted daughter, Hanna, and there were no US POWs. Two USAF Captains were killed when their F111 went down.

It may be that time

Gaddafi changes his image more than Madonna, there was the Arab phase, then the African phase, then the modern phase and now he is a Jihadi? This joker seemed to get the message when we bombed him last. Perhaps he just needs a friendly reminder every 20 some years.

What are a few dozen Tomahawks between "friends".

I remember the incident. I also remember how quiet that SOB became after the incident. It made the UK a bit nervous at first thinking it was only going to make matters worse, but in the end, Reagan was right.

I also remember how cooperative he became after the Iraq invasion.

It is obvious that all the Obama bowing has again emboldened him.

Back in 04

there was alot of Arab and Egyptian money sitting in Swiss accounts and I doubt that has changed much. Methinks Qaddafi's jihad will be short lived, if it surfaces at all.
