3 Malaysian churches attacked in 'Allah' dispute

"3 Malaysian churches attacked in 'Allah' dispute"

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

"....."We will not allow the word Allah to be inscribed in your churches," one speaker shouted into a loudspeaker at the Kampung Bahru mosque. About 50 other people carried posters reading "Heresy arises from words wrongly used" and "Allah is only for us."

"Islam is above all. Every citizen must respect that," said Ahmad Johari, who attended prayers at the National Mosque. "I hope the court will understand the feeling of the majority Muslims of Malaysia. We can fight to the death over this issue."......"

The Religion of Peace strikes again.

Nope - though many would like to think we do.

Though in Arabic, "Allah" means "God". The "Allah" or god of Islam, is not the same "Allah" or God of Christianity ("Elohiim", "Adoni", "YHWH").

It seems to be the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael, but the Muslim god and the God of Christianity have different characters and characteristics, different expectations, interact with man differently, and reveal themselves differently (such as in the person of Christ).

They are not the same.

"Allah" is also the name of the moon god that the pre-Islamic Arabs worshipped. Hence the crescent.

Three More Churches, Catholic School Attacked in Malaysia

VOA News 10 January 2010
Three churches and a Catholic school were attacked in Malaysia Sunday, as tensions rise over the use of the word "Allah" by non-Muslims.

Police say firebombs were thrown at a church and a school in Taiping, in northern Perak state. Nearby, a bottle of kerosene was found inside another church Sunday in what is believed to be a failed attack. In southern Malacca state, black paint was splashed on the outside of a Baptist church.

....Four churches were firebombed on Friday and Saturday in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, with one being badly burned....

The two thousand member mega-Baptist church was filled to overflowing capacity one Sunday morning. The preacher was ready to start the sermon when two men, dressed in long black coats and hats entered thru the rear of the church.

One of the two men walked to the middle of the church while the other stayed at the back. They both then reached under their coats and withdrew automatic weapons.

The one in the middle announced, "Everyone willing to take a bullet for Jesus stay in your seats!"

The pews emptied, followed by the choir. The deacons ran out the door, followed by the choir director and the assistant pastor.

After a few moments, there were about twenty people left sitting in the church - and the preacher was holding steady in the pulpit.

The men put their weapons away, sat down, and said to the preacher, "All right, pastor, the hypocrites are gone. You may now begin the service."

So much for the model of 'Moderate Islam', this just goes to show there is no such thing.

that story came from the 70's era underground churches in the Soviet satellite countries. In 78 and 79 I was involved in supporting an underground bible printer in Hungary. I don't know if that actually occurred or not but it would not surprise me, the under ground Christians over there at that time where not afraid of persecution and frequently received it.
