CSM Clarence 'Stan' Stanfield

Just got this notice from my SFA Chapter:

The Cullman Times (AL) announced the death of retired CSM Clarence 'Stan' Stanfield in the paper this morning. He died in Atlanta and will be buried tomorrow in Fairview, AL (Cullman County). The visitation starts at 1000 hours at the Welcome Baptist Church with burial at 1400 hours with a full military funeral. He was a member of the SFA but his membership had lapsed.

As an E5 he was a Radio Operator on White Star in 1961. He had two TDY tours in RVN with the 1st Group. He was the S2 NCO in Thailand (B4610) in 67-68. In 69-70 he was assigned to the Recondo School in Vietnam finishing his tour as the 5th Group S2 NCO.

RIP CSM Stanfield.
