America's Top Shot
I didn't see this posted yet. This was in an email I received, and looks like fun! I just wanted to let you all know. It's a new show for the History Channel called America's Top Shot. Here is the link:

Very amusing.... every "game" shooter across America will be applying I'm sure.
Most of America's real "top shots" will never be known to the American public and $100,000 is not going to make them come out of the wood work. We're going to see some serious air-soft shooters I'm sure.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, a resident or citizen of the United States and reasonably proficient with shooting and marksmanship. Further eligibility requirements are listed in the casting application.
That says it all.

While my shooting skills are truly "mind-blowing" I doubt I'll be applying.
Or perhaps I will and send them my avatar pic.
I'd really like to see their applications when they come in. I bet there'll be some doozies.

At least that might help with the "big personality" requirement!

They did specify "in shape" (round is a shape, right? ). I guess that leaves me out. I maintain my shooting skills so I don't have to run. After all running damn near killed me once; I intend to see it never gets another opportunity.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

What a deal...
they're gonna pay to shoot. It'd be a great deal but I'm not Physically up to it since to cancer has fouled up my balance. and vision.

I prefer to shoot like a professional, from a prepared, comfortable position. The whole running and jumping about thing seems rather ungentlemanly.

Dam, wish I was a good enough shot for that.

Agreed. Running breeds cowardice. NEVER share a foxhole with someone who can outrun you
