The Civil War
So PAC-10 is doing pretty well this year with multiple teams at 8 wins. I'm excited about the Oregon State University vs. University of Oregon game this year. Does the winner go to the Rose Bowl? And is Ohio State University playing at the Rose Bowl this year?
No matter, I think this year's Civil War will be a great game. Both teams have been playing better than ever.
GO BEAVERS!!!

Pfft, Beavs don't have a chance. It's going to be a "lively" civil war, though. But, I expect to have my consolation skills honed dealing with my wife's Beaver-loving (err wait, that sounds bad) side of the family after the game

SH4,
Not trying to hijack the Civil War, but I saw an article this AM in the Seattle Times and had to laugh:
"At times, the Cougars play sort of tentatively, mechanically, as if the ultimate prize, winning, is as foreign to them as Uzbekistan."
Sigh...

Yes, the winner of the Oregon Civil War football game goes to the Rose Bowl.
Yes, it looks like the Ohio Buckeyes are going to be there too.
Last Sunday I spent the day in Corvallis on the OSU campus with my father at the wrestling match with Oregon State, Wisconsin and Boise State. Dad wrestled for OSU and we sat with a bunch of wrestlers from his era. They all knew I went to Duck-U so they waited a while then got around to asking me who I thought was going to win the civil war football game. Was smart enough to not offer my opinion in that room.
It's going to be some good football.

Fur and Feathers for the Rosebowl!
Awright,
Beavers on one side of the room, Ducks on the other.
We have an Oregon Civil War football game coming up this Thursday night.
Who's going to win?

An Oregon team.

Why the team with the most points on the scoreboard at the end of the game.
'Bama vs Gators is the Game of the Week for me to see who plays Texas in the BCS Championship in January.

It's a shame, he was the best coach on the VT payroll... I'll miss him, I always looked forward to the UVA shellacking at the end of the season. That job is like quicksand- UVA has no recruiting power in Virginia (Tidewater to be exact) and won't have any for the forseeable future (Beamer is going to coach until he is 70).

Oregon football? - - you mean like all the $$ Oregon spent hyping 'Joey Who' for the Heisman until his Civil War peformance cost them the Rose Bowl and he was lucky to get drafted by Detroit?
Hook 'em!
