I will just say that I am extremely disappointed with GEN Casey and his comments.

It's been a lot of years for me, but we were always told that utilities off base were frowned upon. Maybe times have changed, but it just looked odd to me that Gen. Casey chose to appear on television wearing the latest version of cammies (ACU?BCD?XYZ). It wasn't like he was in a war zone. I realize general officers can do pretty much as they please, but . . . it was off-putting. Class A's too much effort? Or was it something else?

The PCness is rampant. In the Pentagon when talking about the incident it is referred to as the "tragedy" at Ft Hood.

What took place was an enemy ATTACK.

The TRAGEDY is that we're not calling it what it is and then letting the chips fall where they may and the investigations and the consequences follow.

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury,
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century;
But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a modern PC-General.
(Apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan).
