EO Tech users

EO Tech users
Just got a revision F in the mail the other week....

I mounted it on my flattop AR (with the stock mount) and it just seems a little low for my liking...anyone else feel that way? And what was your solution? 1/2 risers or a.r.m.s. rail?

J.Meoff on socnet recommended a Larue throwlever mount.....

What are the rest of you EO Tech users using?

The closer the optic is to the eye. The less peripheral vision you have.

Depends on the scenario.

Guy,

I was looking to see if anyone else raised their eo tech up, and how they did it. I don't have any kind of foreend rail, so I'm limited to mounting my eo tech on top of the receiver.

Are you trying to use your iron sights in conjuction with the optics?

The EOTECH is good if you are only doing CQB. I've tried that distance shooting with the EOTECH and it didn't work.

Negative, not trying to use my iron sights with my eo tech. I only have the front sight anyway. I do not have a back up iron sight for my rifle yet.

I have a trijicon reflex that I normally use and it works great. I was looking to maybe replace or tryout the eo tech in it's place, but with the factory mount it sits a little low for my liking.

I was just wondering if anyone else felt that the standard mount was too low, and what they did to raise it.

The mount was fine for me, both on a BUIS equipped BM and on a stock A2 receiver with RAIL. I like mine back towards the eye, others like it near the front.

Our 6 new Eotechs arrived yesterday and today we took them to the range.

I have to concur with Guy on this, the only thing I'll use it for is CQB. I do like the large field of view, which will apply well in the shoot house, but any target of range I prefer my ACOG.

To be fair, my guys were hitting targets out to 300m pretty consistently, but not able to aquire them as fast or as well as with the ACOG.

Poly:

I've noticed you had yours mounted further back on the upper receiver.

I'm going to try out the TA-31f.

Guys, if you think it's too low, here's your solution.

Look up Grant from G&R Tactical. He has these awesome LaRue EOTech mounts that bring it up to the correct height and give you QD ability.

Thanks, that was also recommended elsewhere too.
