He's running for state senate. Sounds like a heck of a good choice, too.

Education occurs in the class room with an exchange between teacher and student and is greatly enhanced with parent participation; it does not occur in administrative offices. I believe that we get exactly what we pay for and we are buying too much bureaucracy and not enough education.

Self defense is a natural right reaffirmed in both our Federal and State Constitutions. It is not a privilege granted by a license from a state or federal agency.

If we continue our tradition of being an industrious people, we can weather these hard times and recover quickly.

You do not have the right to just take more from your employer so why would our legislature have the right to take more from their employers? The source of all power comes from the people and no power can be exerted without their consent.

I think I like this guy. Too bad he's not in my state.

Thank you for visiting!Biography for Samuel (Sam) Fidler

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah where I competed in cross country, wrestling, and soccer; I was also a percussionist for the Spanish Fork High School marching, concert, and jazz bands.

I joined the Utah Army National Guard when I was 17 and graduated from the U.S Army Special Forces Qualification Course 3 years later. I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Adelaide, Australia.

From 1991 through 1997 I served on active duty with the 3rd Special Forces Group and participated in Operations Restore Hope and Uphold Democracy. I also was assigned as an instructor at the Special Forces Qualification Course teaching Land Navigation and Small Unit Tactics.

After returning to Utah I became one of the first members of the National Guard to be activated for Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star for my service in Afghanistan. I later volunteered for a second tour in Afghanistan in 2004 and the Philippines in 2006-2007.

I have spent my life in the service of my fellow citizens and I am announcing my intent to run for the 5th District of the Utah State Senate. I would feel honored if I may expand my service to you.

I just wonder why he never joined the SFA........ I also wonder if Utah Bob might know this guy,I know it's a big state but how many SF guys are in it? Seems like he's the kind of guy I sure would vote for...........

Although I can see Utah from here, I've never lived there. It's real pretty though. Not sure where that town he's from is.

Spanish Fork is about a 45 minutes south of SLC, and sits just outside of Provo UT (BYU). Williams in Draper isnt too far either.

Lots of SF guys around Provo and surrounding areas. Been there a few times and worked with them. Also a bunch up around Missoula, Montana and Boulder, Colorado.

Many of those comments sound as if they came from a NCOER/OER. I'm not saying that it takes away from his character or work ethic or even that he shouldn't use them. Heck, I've used some verbage from an NCOER on a job application before.

I hope he does well and have passed his site on to some friends and family there in Utah County and surrounding area.

Using one source is called "plagarism", two or more is called "research". I'd advise, using one or two quotes from an Army source, a few from Healthcare professionals and most certianly a few from Business/Finance associates. In order to win, one must have a wide base. I wish him the very best.
