Give Me That Good Ol' Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy...
You can always tell the heat's rising in the political kitchen when the left starts wheeling out the effigy of that good ol' vast right-wing conspiracy - which seems to me to be a catalyst for a liberal PTSD episode...

Bill Clinton Speaks Of Vast, Right-Wing Conspiracy
AP, 27 Sep 2009
Bill Clinton says a vast, right-wing conspiracy that once targeted him is now focusing on President Barack Obama.
The ex-president made the comment in a television interview when he was asked about one of the signature moments of the Monica Lewinsky affair over a decade ago. Back then, first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton used the term "vast, right-wing conspiracy" to describe how her husband's political enemies were out to destroy his presidency.
Bill Clinton was asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether the conspiracy is still there. He replied: "You bet. Sure it is. It's not as strong as it was because America has changed demographically. But it's as virulent as it was."
Clinton said that this time around, the focus is on Obama and "their agenda seems to be wanting him to fail."

Well he is two thirds right. But it's a Vast Right Wing Movement. Once again anyone who moves against OB is given a label. Just like those people who are labeled as having Muslim Phobia when they criticize A Muslim in another thread.

What former-Pres Bill fails to acknowledge (although I'm convinced he's well aware of it) is that the general population of America (the radical middle) is sick and tired of the political gamesmanship of the routine Republican and routine Democratic parties. This ranges from national politics to the local stuff. Even when you blow away the smoke of the paid-for pundents and the paid-for demonstrators, IMHO there's a feeling deep down in the American landscape that is tired of billions and trillions of useless points being made by our political establishment. It's time for someone to do something or get off the pot. Turn the page for crying out loud! All the issues that have faced our leadership for the last 20+ years are still there...healthcare, social security, poverty, graft, corruption, terrorism, blah, blah, blah. The only change America has seen is in the faces of those who claim to be our leaders. Still, they don't deliver. Anyway, that's what my brass farthing's worth.

Bubba's Legacy Secure?
This is just Bubba chirping, realizing his legacy is secure as only the second president in US history to be impeached.
As for his claim to eternal fame, he is the only man in recorded history who can factually prove and thus refute a stereotype about a certain service performed by Jewish ladies.

I don't have one of those, but I have been meaning to print up some business cards for my wife and myself that have "members of the vast right wing conspiracy" on them. Occasionally we meet people and such and I don't want to give a work business card because it isn't work related.

Someone needs to remind Bill that Hillary originally used that phrase defending him against the Lewinsky allegations…. Allegations that were later proven true, by his own admission. So the question is, is it really a “conspiracy” if it’s true?
