LTC Marvin Liebow

RIP, Colonel!

Quote:
Lt. Col. Marvin Liebow

Lt. Col. (Ret.) Marvin J. Liebow passed away July 13, 2009.

Born Jan. 30, 1931 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he served 20 years in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Green Beret and was the recipient of two Bronze Stars.

Liebow served his country both in Korea and two tours in Viet Nam with honor and distinction. He went on to a 20- year second career as an executive with Amtrak in Washington, DC.

He moved to Fountain Hills from northern Virginia with his wife, Cindy, in 1996.

His dedication never ended with retirement as many in Fountain Hills can attest to, along with many friends all over the world, where he always found a friend of Bill Wilson, even as far away as Kathmandu, Nepal.

He was always willing to help another as long as they were willing to help themselves; 32 years as a friend of Bill’s.

He is forever remembered by his wife, Cindy; son, Eric Schlapak; daughter, Sara Chadason and husband Mark Chadason; son, Neil Lacount; niece Alisa Boyko; nephew Rod Horowitz; and two grandchildren, Kathryn and Amanda Chadason.

Memorial services were entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Chapel. God bless us all.

That is our policy.” You ask; What is our aim? I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill
