"Taliban suicide bombers dressed in burkas killed six people in eastern Afghanistan when they stormed government buildings and a military base."

Now wait a cotton pickin' minute here. To be considered a Military Combatant don't you have to................

Oh, never mind.

Ok everyone in Afghanistan, keep an eye out for all of those tall, broad shouldered Afghan women who have a lot of facial hair.

In Afghanistan is it impolite to lift a woman's dress and look underneath?

Probably get the same kind of reaction as you would from lifting a Scotsman's kilt!

As I recall there was a scene in Crocodile Dundee where he had an interesting technique to find out if it was really a Sheila underneath.

Question Whats the solution?

All joking aside, this seems to be a prominent problem. A while back there was an article stating that some Taliban fighters escaped a compound by dressing up as women.
Is there an effective way to counter these tactics without being disrespectful and insensitive towards the civilian populace and their culture? It is my understanding that it is a great dishonor for an Afghani man to have his wife searched / "frisked" by our soldiers, which is also why there has been such leniency towards this matter in the past. However, this "respectfulness" on our side seems to create a giant loophole for the enemy.
