Faux Presidents?
Over the last week, I've watched "Dave," "The American President," the first two seasons of "West Wing," "Air Force One," and "Independence Day"...and now I'm wondering why Hollyweird can give us far better Presidents than our electoral system.

V/r, submit that the system isn't broken, but it sure is bent. Moral courage is not assured by a Constitution, an electoral process, or by assuming a title.

There is NOTHING wrong with the system, only the jerk offs in charge of it.
As far as Hollyweird, they do not have to get re-elected nor do they have to please their party "elders".
They need to take the "professional" out of politics and give it back to the "little people" that have to actually live in the mess they create. Not some buffoons that live in an isolated ivory tower with little or no contact wit the "great unwashed" that they have to "protect".
Sorry rant off.

Sir, Please reboot Rant Drive...press, pursue, then beat the crap out of. We "little people" need to get more outraged.

Alas every time a non-professional is elected to serve the people they get ruint and professionalized in that DC atmosphere pretty quickly.

I think presidents have less autonomy, in most major decision making process's attributed to them, than is publicly acknowledged.
