CSM Charlie Ferguson
Guys,
Just got this in - I don't know how many here would remember Old Chargin Charlie Ferguson - but he is a serious old School SOB that made his bones way back before most of us were born. My memory of him had equal parts of awe and terror - thats how he was, thats how he wanted it. I tried to find a picture of him - but so far, no luck (the only one I have is in my head).
Please pay this Special Forces Legend the respect that he earned, in spades, over 50 years ago.
Mitch

CSM Charlie Ferguson (retired) is an SF icon! He has BTDT! His CIB is third award, his Master Wings have at least one combat jump star, and he has a Silver Star and Purple Heart w/OLC's.
The last time I saw him was at the July LLDB and Vietnamese 81st Airborne Ranger Reunion in Little Saigon/Westminster, CA. It's always an honor to talk with him!
Take care Sir!
Carl

I can answer with one word: Victory—victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory there is no survival.-Winston Churchill

He was my company Sergeant Major in A Co 6th GP. He was a great soldier! He once told me I would be a great troop, if he could only keep me deployed or in the field.
Rest in peace SGM!
