"The Making of Our Warrior"
Wanted to start a thread dedicated to a new book just out...
"The Making of Our Warrior"
Written by Jeff Falkel, a Gold Star Father who has recently completed this book on his son's life and is donating a portion of the profits to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Chris' ODA (ODA316) helped write part of it and Steven Pressfield helped edit and wrote the Foreword. Because he wants to self-publish, the Warrior Foundation put him in touch with me and I helped him with the process. We drafted a book cover (front back and spine) and he's thrilled.
He said the process of writing this book has been very therapeutic to the healing process...
It is an honor that he would let me help him with this project.
"This is an extraordinary story about the true strength of America...
A tough, resilient, close-knit fabric of heroic love;
Father and Son, Team and Country."
- GEN(RET) Peter Schoomaker
"This book should be required reading for every leader
in command of every Special Operations Team worldwide
and their families."
- GEN(RET) Doug Brown
"A recommended read without reservation...
a story that chronicles the making of a true SF Warrior,
high lighting the essence of Why We Fight Now."
- COL Gus Benton
Commander, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne)
EDITED TO ADD:

Google says the ASOM has it.
If you were in 3rd Group during the current conflict, you probably know some of the people in it.

The Making of OUR Warrior
You can go to www.morethananamefoundation.org to order the book on the internet. On the order page, there is a section called Instructions for Merchant (or something like that) - if you write in who you want the book signed for, the author will sign it for you or for anyone you would like.
40 books were shipped to the JFK SWC Museum Gift Shop today and should be available end of next week.
Thanks for your support!

I picked up a signed copy of "The Making of Our Warrior" at the ASOM recently. I want to say thank you to Tatonka316 for sharing YOUR story. It was both heart breaking and inspiring, and I would be lying if I said no tears were shed in its reading. I am just one of many who will NEVER forget the service and sacrifice of
Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Falkel. Please know that your entire family will be in my prayers as 8/05 approaches.
Thank You.
