Hagar my anal sphincter. That's a brand of clothing here in Texas. I'm more into this type music today - more meaningful to my old memory bank.

I met my wife when I was standing in for the father of the bride at a team mate's wedding. Ten days later I asked her to marry me if we felt the same way six months from that date - we've been together for going on four decades and I cannot imagine it ever ending - ever.

The way I felt when we were dating.

I grew up like this in a town like this one - our house was white, and the garage doors, window trim, and gutters were painted John Deere Green. One of the reasons I'm selling the family ranch - it's not quite like that around there anymore - too much urbanization.

To be young again - but now I'm the old guy sitting at the table, scratching his head and looking around with trepidation of having seen it all before.

I love the artistry of this song - but hate its message - eat your hearts out Hagar fans.

My favorite Hendrix song - I saw him in April 1970 at CalExpo- still pissed he didn't play it at that concert.

Summers on Folsom Lake in NorCal..

This one was on every jukebox in every club I visited in SEA.

This one kept me awake while listening to AFN and driving across Germany in 1976.

Stones.

Saw the stage production in New York - loved this routine - my wife said she could relate to it.

My current favorite bar song.

This one just appeals to my Scots and martial heritage.

It's Haggard, not Hagar and his name is Merle not Sammy...

Merle Haggard

Richard,
Some good picks, esp Gods & Generals. Here is the Scots equivalent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EavpI...eature=related (Battle of Culloden Moor)

Here are some favorites that just appeal to my Scots heritage
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k98ly...eature=related (Brave Calendonia)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iwn28X3szrg (Dark Lochnagar)

And these are some of my all time favorite songs --- (when I was young, and frequently drinking)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRH7FtAAbJE (Thunder Road)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP1w5Hl8D0E (We gotta get out of this place)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YcjQ6tTIoUY (Jerimah was a bullfrog)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izQB2-Kmiic (Year 2525)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRpmpwCvlT4 Okie From Muskogee – Merle Haggard
