Duplicity

Just saw this flick - not a bad yarn - about half way through it I had just about decided I was going to have to see again (had too many left turns and double backs it it) - but in the end, it all made sense.

I would reccommend it - give it *** stars. Also, Julia Roberts; the Pretty Woman's getting older, but she still commands a healthy dose of respect and attention. Clive Owen - could easily have taken on the James Bond role - he looks and acts the part.

Not giving anything away - but the tag line might say: Where do you go for your pay-day when you have out grown the CIA and MI6.

I thought the first half of the film was great; very stylish and quick witted. But the ending was terrible!

Your may be right -when you said the "ending was terrible - I believe it was because the ending was predictable.

This movie suffered form a bad case of: deus ex Machina

FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deus_ex_machina

Possible Spoiler Alert - I don't really think so - but I alerted you:

like I said - the first half had me so confused that I knew I would half to see it again just to figure out what I had missed. Then it was like they changed writers - "someone said, lets simplify this - tie everything back together and put a bow on it". Also once they started down that path - it also became predictable - I sitll liked it, but a lot of that was just the Julia/Clive thing - which they also messed up in the end by changing Julia from this worldly woman of intrigue - to just another typical sterotypical predictable female.
