China fights gerbil plague with 'the pill'
Wonder how the eco-Nazis in CA would deal with this one if it was in the Mojave?

China fights gerbil plague with 'the pill'
AFP, 25 Mar 2009
Authorities in northwestern China have resorted to using a contraception-abortion pill to rein in a plague of gerbils which is threatening the local desert ecosystem, state media said Wednesday.

Why?
Wouldn't the additives, melamine, and illegal substances in their regular pet food be enough to kill the little varmints?
Just scatter some dog chow around and watch them die.

Me thinks that the Chineese plan is the same one our left leaning liberals ( 3 L's... couldn't help myself) would support.
In addition to the dog food, perhaps a few painted toys down the holes......munch munch, lick, lick.....bingo death from heavy metal (lead) poisioning.

Or the warehouses of tainted baby formula they now have on hand.
For our part, IMO MREs would work as well.

Send over some Gerbil cowboys and round them up and ship them to Peru/Bolivia/Ecuador. They would love to eat them like Cuy. The better be careful or the boys from San Fran will get upset for messing with their Gerbil supply......

I could have done without a reminder of that piece of cultural perversity! Now that they've messed up San Francisco, they're all moving over into the Valley and bringing their pc abnormal ways with them. Maybe there'll be a Gerbil problem there pretty soon, too, and the Governator will have to hire an experienced Chinese Gerbil control specialist as a consultant to help the resident eco-Nazis control it. Guess the upside would be lower prices for Kung Pao Gerbil at the local Chinese eateries around the area and a resurgent cat population.
Am I ever glad to be back in Texas.

Although.....if they are "Gerbil Cowboys", might want to look around Brokeback Mountain.

No wonder Richard Gere has been criticizing the Chinese Gov all these years.

Amen to that Richard. Sacramento and the surrounding area used to be a nice cow-town with big buildings. Lately, we're turning into San Francisco East here. I keep moving further and further away from "the city," but it keeps finding me!!!
