Open mouth....insert Foot.
In case you missed it....
Last night (Thurs / 19th), Barry was on Jay Leno. His "funny" remark about his "Bowling" skills.....well......Looks as if Uncle Joe isn't the only one in this administration that has a BAD case of Foot in Mouth Disease.
Check it out......

Needed: Special Assistant to the President for Damage Control
This new position in the White House would have resources including this neglected tool.

Meanwhile...
Gov. Palin offers an olive branch. Source is here.
She reportedly said:
Quote:
I was shocked to learn of the comment made by President Obama about Special Olympics. This was a degrading remark about our world’s most precious and unique people, coming from the most powerful position in the world.
These athletes overcome more challenges, discrimination and adversity than most of us ever will. By the way, these athletes can outperform many of us and we should be proud of them. I hope President Obama’s comments do not reflect how he truly feels about the special needs community.

She is rather adept at taking the high road.

Heard this on the tail end of the evening news...
"The best response came from Special Olympics bowling champion Kolan McConiughey, who has bowled five perfect games in the past four years and challenged the President to a match. "He bowled a 129. I bowl a 300. I could beat that score easily," Mr. McConiughey said."

Won't have any legs in the media... an example of his inexperience and complete lack of SA. The only saving grace is that at least the Stock Market didn't plunge on this dumb assed remark (oh, and he wasn't showing his belly to the Iranian mullahs).
Where is VP Biden when we need him?
Way to go Mr. McConiughey.

In my camp, after hearing the "gaffe", we just rolled our eyes,...something about thick skin and all!
