The concept of celibacy
Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances.
While attending a Marriage Weekend, Walter and his wife, Ann, listened to the instructor declare, 'It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other.
He addressed the men, 'Can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?' Walter leaned over, touched Ann's arm gently, and whispered, 'Gold Medal-All-Purpose, isn't it?
And thus began Walter's life of celibacy.

Now with my wife that would have been the correct answer. She'd slice and dice me if I wasted money on a bouquet of flowers.

Aaww Red, come on now! Give ol' Walt some credit, at least he paid attention to what Ann was doing in the kitchen. I always thought that the way to a man's heart was through his stomach! (not thru his ribcage)

My wife would give me a "Bobbit" for a statement like that one.

Several years ago, there was a family drama going on among my grandmother, mother, and sister.
They tried to draw my wife into the fray.
My wife said she was too busy preparing meals, keeping the house cleaned up, and making new drapes to involve herself in such nonsense.
Seeing a logical solution to the problem, I suggested that the women folk just shut their mouths and get back to cooking, cleaning, and sewing.
...my wife agreed.
Some of us are just lucky.
