Off to Landstuhl

I'm headed out to Landstuhl early next week to spend some quality parental unit time with my 18E. He's still recovering from the wounds he received while on deployment to a sandy place, and will be undergoing another just before month end, hence the trip. I was actually born in Landstuhl, (AF dad), so this will be a sort of homecoming for me as well. In between surgeries, he's been helping as a liason with other SF wounded at LRMC.

A special note of thanks to TS, LR and BIll Harsey for their notes of support and concern. It's going to be a bit of a recovery time, but he is hoping to be gainfully assigned to a team again in as short a time as possible.

I don't often post, but read almost daily. Really enjoy the banter and friendships that I see here.

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Enjoy your time in Germany and take care of your boy. He will enjoy Mom around even if he does not say so. Take him and his team out for a cold one and you will get some funny stories about him.
Good luck
