Kopi Luwak
I recently got to taste few cups of "Kopi Luwak." A coffee supposedy made from from coffee beans after passing the digestive track of a "Luwak" (a weasel-like animal). It's made famous by a line by Morgan Freeman in the movie the Bucket List
Well, it's real alright....and really expensive too.
Since I do not normally drink my coffee straight black and I am more of a cappuccino drinker, I am no coffee connoisseur and cannot make elaborate comparison. Having said that, the aroma ain't that great, but it's really smooth and a little sweet, as if it already had creamer and little sugar in it. hmmmmm.....cream and sugar...I refuse to think about what is the cause (or extra ingredients ) of that flavor. I'd have to say it did taste real good just plain black. 'course, I do not and cannot seriously consider it's worth the price tag. My buddy who always drinks his coffee black swore it's the best thing ever. Yeah....no sh*t (pun intended)

umm.....err....it's supposedly the world's most expensive coffee Ma'am. Curiosity got the best of me. You know, like when somebody told you you couldn't lick your elbow....As far as the processing, it's well "processed." No FDA approval though. As a chemical engineer, I figure the steep price results from a very low yield for each processed batch. But seriously, it's very TASTY! No you-know-what!
Oh well...I can hear TS' typing "stupid is as stupid does"

So you went through all of that, paid WHAT? for the "privilege", and then tell everybody about it, just to have TS tell you something you already knew? Son, ain't you learnt yet not to tell everybody when you done gone and done something stupid?
Does that make you a gourmand now?

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

Negative, Peregrino Sir. Food is fuel. If it's edible and sustains the body, it's GTG.
FWIW, the intention of the original post is a review of the coffee. Putting it in perspective, perhaps others with similar curiosity may benefit. After reading everyone's reactions, I then understood it might be considered stupid.
By the way, it's expensive but the coffee was on somebody else's dime, which was how it went from 2 sips to 2 cups (maybe I was not as stupid as I thought )
As I wrote before, IMHO even if it's very tasty, it's not worth the price. That is all.

Just when you thought it was getting safe to drink coffee you get sh#t or Puke floating up through the cream. Next thing we will hear of is Starbucks is using breast milk instead of 2%.....
