Peruvians Continue to Fight Sendero Luminoso

"...Recently the Shining Path has sprung back from relative obscurity to launch its most deadly attacks in more than a decade.

Over the past year, rebels have killed some 25 soldiers and police officers in ambushes and gun battles..."

Yes they are. They have been rebuilding and taking lessons form the FARC and have now started to aligne their selfs with Narcos and sell security for them to gain funds. With money comes an increased capability. The economy, government and social situation is right for them and they will flourish in the coming year's. It is becoming in a few departments a trick to move around.

Looks like work is going to get interesting.

B,

You and all of LATAM will be in our thoughts around here.
My family employs several Peruvians now, and some used to live in the Jungle, have family there, and are always on a heightened state of awareness for their relatives well-being.

The Peruvians we know are such great people. We have attended all of their US citizenship ceremonies, and to see their smiling faces so full of pride in America, is a reward unto itself.
It is a shame that these shining path terrorists are trying to resurge and reek havoc on these people.

Keep up the fight B!

Holly
