France/Germany Out - Colombia In

Just another example of Uribe getting it done and his true sense of loyalty. Unfortunately, this action may be waisted on the US President and majority party in Congress. What are the odds of getting a free-trade agreement for Colombia in the next 4 years?

Colombia will send 110 soldiers to Afghanistan in March to prepare the arrival of a larger number of members of the Colombian army that will help with the removal of landmines in the Asian country.

According to several local media, the sending of the first shift of Colombian military personnel was confirmed by official sources.

The first to be sent to the Asian country are officials who will inspect the conditions in which their colleagues will arrive.

Colombian armed forces will be part of a Spanish-led army and will primarily focus on the removal of landmines in the country that's been suffering violence by muslim extremists since the U.S. incursion in 2001.
