While I can only hope this bill dies a quick and painful death, the timing concerns me considering the current state of the world and our country.

I don't know much about the assclown who purposed it, but if he weren't a self serving sack of garbage he would be purposing bringing more term limits to that cesspool we call DC instead of less. Maybe he and the rest of our representatives should focus on finding solutions to the nation’s problems instead of finding a way to create more (and likely much bigger) problems.

I have always been disgusted by those who so readily, without shame or reverence, seek to change the foundation of our beliefs and our country.

Shameful, absolutely shameful.

I request a puking Smile that I can add to this post.

In each of 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009, Serrano introduced a joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the 22nd Amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as president. Each resolution, with the exception of the current one, died without ever getting past the committee.

Congressman Serrano has been a critic of the Bush administration's approach to handling President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela. In 2005, while the Venezuelan President was in New York City speaking before the United Nations, the congressman invited him to his district to speak to his constituency.

An interesting article: http://www.democracynow.org/2005/12/...o_one_of_three (I remember this when it happened)

We all know how disgustingly LIBERAL NYC is! When I worked in NYC, cops that I knew who were Latino despised him for his VERY liberal views. I am sure THIS resolution will die a quick death as well!

To call this guy an ASSHOLE is an insult to the rest of us assholes. I thought they did it only after a Dem was elected. But, I see he did it when he thought a Dem would be elected.
