Taking Chance

This looks like it will be a very moving movie, I can't believe hollywood would make something like this.
Here is a trailer for the movie.

Here is an excerpt of the story.

Looks good. I like that in the stories of our fallen, so much good can come of it.

Thanks bluebb

The Book that published that story was a great read. It was a series of short stories dealing with Veterans of The GWOT. It was put out by the National Endowment of The Arts. Cant remember the Title thou.
If anyone knows the Title, chime in.

I don't have cable. One of the few stations I get clearly is the local PBS station. One evening when I arrived home from work, I turned it on and a program called "Operation Homecoming: Writing The Wartime Experience" was on. I believe the actual writers of the stories were reading them, accompanied by video. I caught the end of one - "Road Work" and then saw all of "Taking Chance". I was moved to tears.

The movie looks like it will honor the spirit of that fine piece of writing by LTC Strobl. I can't wait.

Here is a CBS promo for the series - at the end is the end part of "Taking Chance".

Blue,
Thanks for sharing that. I will definitely keep an eye for it. That clip and the story brought me to tears.
Have a brilliant weekend!
